The disciples of Christ are those of the Church (his body). We were called to share the good news and to live the life that he had ordained before the beginning of the world. Sharing the good news is teaching the principles of God, his foundational truth. The good news of God leads many to freedom. "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;" (Isaiah 61:1). The good news is the ministry of reconciliation that God gave to us through Christ Jesus.
"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;" (2 Corinthians 5:18). Sharing the good news gives hope to the world; the world needs Jesus which is the hope for all things. The great hope is the expected end of God's promises. The provision for all our needs. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
