Knowing the word of God

Colossians 4:2

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanks giving.

Praying always in all things, and giving thanks always. God is almighty, he is able to do all things, continually we must show our gratitude to him. Praying with faith will give you the victory you seek. Being thankful in everything that we have to go through is telling God that we trust in him and know that he is able.

God told us to pray without ceasing, and to be thankful, because it’s his will for us to do so. When we pray, we glorify God, and our lives must bring God the glory. Being thankful is appreciating all that God has done, and his doing in our lives everyday.

Psalm 30:12- To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

Giving thanks, and praying every day is building a relationship with God. When we are going through any circumstances, the first thing to do is to pray, prayer enables us to think rationally, stay calm, and have a good outcome. There isn’t any situation that prayer won’t let you overcome.

Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

2 Corinthians 9:11
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Walking with Jesus I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in August 2016. When this journey just began, I was not where I needed to be, I was still doing a lot of things that had me being disobedient to God. I didn’t understood much of the bible, I was in a place where I know I needed help, and I felt that going to church would make everything okay right away, I never knew it would have a been a learning process. I was in and out of jobs, I was lonely, unhappy, bitter, confused, a culprit and basically lawless. I was really broken, I needed a strong foundation, a needed love, I needed peace, and I needed to know who I was. At this point of my life, I really wanted to come home. I had no money saved, was living in a house where a shared utilities and bathroom. My Bill’s where paid by the help of family and whatever assignments I would get to do. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the time. God knew my heart, he knew I wanted to go home, because it was a desire of...

Jesus the Lord thy God; where would we be without saving grace? Grace is the reason why we are here, God's unmerited favor of love that has no end. Do you believe that God's promises will come true? Do you believe that he loves you? Do you want to know him as you should? Grace is the reason why we have the opportunity to live in God. Lets' rest in this truth; what Jesus did on the cross made us free from the bondage of the flesh. He was crucified in the flesh to justify the sinner through his spirit. (He died in the flesh and rose in the spirit). "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" (1 Peter 3:18). If you would love to receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer. Jesus, I thank you for taking my place on the cross. I believe in the finished works of the cross and I accept you in my heart today as my Lord and Savior.

The goodness of God gave us life and hope. Where would we be without the goodness of God? His goodness place us before him; he took no thought for his life when he laid it done to death for us. "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren" (1 John 3:16). The goodness of our God is the only reason we are here on this day; his unmerited favor of love towards us was before we entered this world. "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" (Ephesians 1:4). God's goodness will never run out, it is everlasting as he is. Let's focus on his goodness always and give thanks.
