Knowing the word of God

Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.  Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.  The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord .  Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.  Many will entreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.  All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.  He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.  Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.  The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.  The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.  A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.  House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord .  Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.  He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.  He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord ; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.  Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.  A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.  Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.  There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord , that shall stand.  The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.  The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.  A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.  Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.  He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.  Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.  An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.

Walking with Jesus I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in August 2016. When this journey just began, I was not where I needed to be, I was still doing a lot of things that had me being disobedient to God. I didn’t understood much of the bible, I was in a place where I know I needed help, and I felt that going to church would make everything okay right away, I never knew it would have a been a learning process. I was in and out of jobs, I was lonely, unhappy, bitter, confused, a culprit and basically lawless. I was really broken, I needed a strong foundation, a needed love, I needed peace, and I needed to know who I was. At this point of my life, I really wanted to come home. I had no money saved, was living in a house where a shared utilities and bathroom. My Bill’s where paid by the help of family and whatever assignments I would get to do. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the time. God knew my heart, he knew I wanted to go home, because it was a desire of...

Jesus the Lord thy God; where would we be without saving grace? Grace is the reason why we are here, God's unmerited favor of love that has no end. Do you believe that God's promises will come true? Do you believe that he loves you? Do you want to know him as you should? Grace is the reason why we have the opportunity to live in God. Lets' rest in this truth; what Jesus did on the cross made us free from the bondage of the flesh. He was crucified in the flesh to justify the sinner through his spirit. (He died in the flesh and rose in the spirit). "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" (1 Peter 3:18). If you would love to receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer. Jesus, I thank you for taking my place on the cross. I believe in the finished works of the cross and I accept you in my heart today as my Lord and Savior.

The goodness of God gave us life and hope. Where would we be without the goodness of God? His goodness place us before him; he took no thought for his life when he laid it done to death for us. "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren" (1 John 3:16). The goodness of our God is the only reason we are here on this day; his unmerited favor of love towards us was before we entered this world. "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" (Ephesians 1:4). God's goodness will never run out, it is everlasting as he is. Let's focus on his goodness always and give thanks.
