Knowing the word of God

Happy First Motivational Monday of 2019! With the beginning of a new year upon us, all of our minds on what this year will bring.

What are your goals and dreams for 2019? How is God leading you this year?

Yesterday, we heard a message on getting your mind in the right spot for 2019. Don't let this year be another year that just goes by and you don't accomplish the goals you have. Take responsibility for your time, for your actions and for your mind!

Your life is moving in the direction of what your strongest thought is! Our minds are battlefields and the devil is telling us lies about who we are and what 2019 will be for us.

Identify what is a stronghold in your life right now and leave that stronghold in 2018!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2

We pray that this year your mind is renewed in Christ Jesus as you pursue your calling and studies at CLI!

We leave you with these two truths today as we go into the new year!

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life (2 Peter 1:3) and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

Amen, we can accomplish our goals this year and live in the truth that we are set free in Christ and we do not need to conform to the lies Satan keeps trying to tell us. For we are transformed by the blood of Christ!

With lots of prayers and love for you in the new year,

Walking with Jesus I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in August 2016. When this journey just began, I was not where I needed to be, I was still doing a lot of things that had me being disobedient to God. I didn’t understood much of the bible, I was in a place where I know I needed help, and I felt that going to church would make everything okay right away, I never knew it would have a been a learning process. I was in and out of jobs, I was lonely, unhappy, bitter, confused, a culprit and basically lawless. I was really broken, I needed a strong foundation, a needed love, I needed peace, and I needed to know who I was. At this point of my life, I really wanted to come home. I had no money saved, was living in a house where a shared utilities and bathroom. My Bill’s where paid by the help of family and whatever assignments I would get to do. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the time. God knew my heart, he knew I wanted to go home, because it was a desire of...

Jesus the Lord thy God; where would we be without saving grace? Grace is the reason why we are here, God's unmerited favor of love that has no end. Do you believe that God's promises will come true? Do you believe that he loves you? Do you want to know him as you should? Grace is the reason why we have the opportunity to live in God. Lets' rest in this truth; what Jesus did on the cross made us free from the bondage of the flesh. He was crucified in the flesh to justify the sinner through his spirit. (He died in the flesh and rose in the spirit). "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" (1 Peter 3:18). If you would love to receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer. Jesus, I thank you for taking my place on the cross. I believe in the finished works of the cross and I accept you in my heart today as my Lord and Savior.

The goodness of God gave us life and hope. Where would we be without the goodness of God? His goodness place us before him; he took no thought for his life when he laid it done to death for us. "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren" (1 John 3:16). The goodness of our God is the only reason we are here on this day; his unmerited favor of love towards us was before we entered this world. "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" (Ephesians 1:4). God's goodness will never run out, it is everlasting as he is. Let's focus on his goodness always and give thanks.
